Feliciana Coffee at Madeline's
Share
Feliciana Coffee is a specialty coffee brand rooted in four generations of Colombian coffee growing, centered on the family's farms in Samaria, in Filadelfia, Caldas. The brand began selling at a farmers market in Austin, Texas and roasts single-origin Colombian lots, working directly with the growers rather than through intermediaries.
Most of the lineup is traceable to a specific farm and producer. The Castillo comes from Finca San Rafael in Samaria-Caldas, grown around 1,480 to 1,500 meters; the Pink Bourbon is from Yiver Vargas at Finca Santa Lucia in La Plata, Huila, grown higher at 1,600 to 1,900 meters; and the Sello Mujer is a Tabi lot from Aneth Choconta at Finca La Alegria in Caicedonia, Valle. Sello Mujer is part of the brand's focus on women coffee farmers.
All of the coffees are roasted medium and washed-process, and most are offered in both whole bean and ground 12 oz bags. The E.A. process decaf blends Castillo, Caturra, and Colombia varietals and uses a sugarcane-derived ethyl acetate decaffeination, keeping a sweet, floral cup without the caffeine.
