MyCo Planet at Madeline's

MyCo Planet is a woman-owned mushroom farm in the Kansas City area, growing gourmet mushrooms for local restaurants and grocery stores and turning them into grow kits, powders, tinctures, and a functional coffee. The farm works out of a facility of a little over 5,000 square feet and supplies dozens of restaurants and grocers in its region.

The grow kits are commercial-size and built to fruit at home. The Blue Oyster kit produces a first harvest of around 2 pounds within 7 to 10 days of fruiting and is one of the easier varieties to grow, while the Lion's Mane kit produces fresh lion's mane, a mushroom often called the brain mushroom. Lion's mane naturally contains two compounds, hericenones and erinacines.

For people who would rather not grow their own, MyCo Planet sells a pure organic lion's mane powder and a lion's mane tincture, both made to fold into a daily routine, plus a Lion's Mane Ground Coffee made in a local collaboration with Rochester Brewing and Roasting Company and offered in regular or decaf.
