Tulip Tree Soap Company at Madeline's
Share
Tulip Tree Soap Company is a family-owned maker of handcrafted soaps and natural body care, founded by Carrie Mick and run out of a small shop in Indiana. The company is named after the tulip tree, the state tree of both Kentucky, where Mick is from, and Indiana, where she lives now, and after the one that blooms in her own yard each spring. She makes bar soaps, hair care, lotions, and body care meant to be better for skin and for the planet.
The bar soaps are small-batch and cold-process, scented with natural and original blends rather than heavy synthetic perfume. They range from true-to-life single notes like lavender, lemon, and sandalwood to layered and literary-inspired scents, including a Wuthering Heights bar that smells like the moors before a storm. Most bars are $6 and work for both hands and body.
Beyond soap, the line includes sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner bars for different hair needs, quick-absorbing lotions and a gel-cream body yogurt, a whipped body polish that cleanses and exfoliates, a whipped hand-and-body buttercream, and aluminum-free natural deodorants. Many products are vegan and made with organic ingredients, free of parabens and phthalates.
