Brown Butter Sage Cheese Ravioli

Pillowy cheese ravioli elevated with a simple but silky brown butter and sage sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 package Cheese Ravioli
  • 5 tbsp butter
  • 12-15 fresh sage leaves
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Red pepper flakes to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Melt butter over medium-low heat, swirling occasionally.
  3. Once butter turns golden brown, add garlic and sage leaves.
  4. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat.
  5. Cook cheese ravioli per package directions until they float.
  6. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain ravioli.
  7. Toss ravioli gently in brown butter sauce with some pasta water.
  8. Top with Parmesan, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes.
