Creamed Honey Butter Biscuits

Fluffy buttermilk biscuits brushed with creamed honey butter while still warm, creating a lightly sweet and buttery treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons cold butter, cubed
  • 3/4 cup cold buttermilk
  • 3 tablespoons softened butter
  • 2 tablespoons Creamed Honey
  • Sea salt for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut cold cubed butter into the flour mixture using a pastry cutter or fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add cold buttermilk and stir gently just until a shaggy dough forms. Do not overmix.
  5. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently 4-5 times.
  6. Roll out to 1-inch thickness and cut into 12 biscuits using a biscuit cutter or glass.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. While biscuits bake, whisk softened butter with Creamed Honey. Brush generously on warm biscuits as soon as they come from the oven.
