Fall-off-the-bone tender ribs coated with the Pitmaster BBQ Rib Rub, slow-smoked to perfection for an unforgettable backyard feast.
Prep Time: 15 min | Cook Time: 300 min | Servings: 6 servings
Ingredients
- 2 racks baby back ribs (about 4-5 lbs total)
- 1/4 cup Pitmaster BBQ Rib Rub
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup wood chips (hickory or oak), soaked
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs by sliding a knife underneath and peeling it away.
- Pat ribs dry with paper towels and lightly coat with olive oil.
- Generously apply the Pitmaster BBQ Rib Rub to both sides of the ribs, pressing gently so it adheres.
- Set up your smoker for 225-250°F and add soaked wood chips.
- Place ribs bone-side down on the grates and smoke for 4-5 hours, spritzing with apple juice every hour.
- Ribs are done when meat pulls back from the bones and a toothpick slides through easily.
- Let rest for 10 minutes, then slice between bones and serve.
