Homemade Elderberry Immunity Syrup

Ingredients

  • Super Sized Elderberry Syrup Kit
  • Filtered water
  • Raw honey
  • Ginger (1 inch fresh, sliced)
  • Cinnamon stick
  • Fresh lemon juice (2 tablespoons)
  • Glass jars with lids

Instructions

  1. Follow kit instructions to prepare elderberry base in a saucepan.
  2. Add water, ginger, and cinnamon stick. Simmer over medium heat.
  3. Simmer 15-20 minutes, allowing flavors to infuse.
  4. Remove from heat, cool 5 minutes. Strain through a fine mesh sieve.
  5. Stir in raw honey and lemon juice while warm.
  6. Pour into sterilized glass jars and refrigerate up to 3 weeks.
  7. Take 1 tablespoon daily as preventative, or up to 4 times daily at first sign of illness.
