Ingredients
- Super Sized Elderberry Syrup Kit
- Filtered water
- Raw honey
- Ginger (1 inch fresh, sliced)
- Cinnamon stick
- Fresh lemon juice (2 tablespoons)
- Glass jars with lids
Instructions
- Follow kit instructions to prepare elderberry base in a saucepan.
- Add water, ginger, and cinnamon stick. Simmer over medium heat.
- Simmer 15-20 minutes, allowing flavors to infuse.
- Remove from heat, cool 5 minutes. Strain through a fine mesh sieve.
- Stir in raw honey and lemon juice while warm.
- Pour into sterilized glass jars and refrigerate up to 3 weeks.
- Take 1 tablespoon daily as preventative, or up to 4 times daily at first sign of illness.
