How to grow

Sow seeds 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep in soil around 60 to 80°F; germination takes 6 to 14 days. Grow in full sun and thin or transplant to 15 inches apart. Keep evenly watered for steady growth, and blanch heads by tying outer leaves over the curd if you want the whitest color.

Flavor profile

Mild, sweet, and nutty with tender white curds. Snowball is excellent raw, roasted, or steamed, and holds its delicate flavor well in the kitchen.
