Mickelberry Gardens Elderberry Honey Tonic raw oxymel

Mickelberry Gardens at Madeline's

Mickelberry Gardens is a Portland, Oregon maker of raw honey, herbal honey tonics, and hive-based wellness and skincare products. It is the work of a husband-and-wife team, beekeeper Matt and herbalist Madelyn Morris, who started keeping bees in their garden and developing honey and beeswax remedies in their kitchen, then launched the business at a farmers market booth in 2011. Today Mickelberry Gardens is a women-owned certified B Corporation that crafts each batch in a GMP-compliant facility and renders its own Oregon beeswax.

The heart of the line is the oxymel, a traditional tonic of raw honey, apple cider vinegar, and herbs. Mickelberry makes several, including elderberry, fire cider, ginger, a relaxation blend, a throat-and-lung blend, and a fermented bee pollen tonic, all built on raw Pacific Northwest honey and organic herbs. The same blends come in convenient 2 oz sprays for elderberry, ginger, calm, and throat support, plus a concentrated propolis tincture.

Alongside the tonics, Mickelberry bottles raw, single-source varietal honey from trusted regional beekeepers (never micro-filtered, so offerings rotate with the season) and makes beeswax skincare like an all-purpose soothing salve, an unscented baby salve, and the Love Your Lips balm. Honey should not be given to children under one year of age. These products are foods and traditional preparations, not evaluated by the FDA to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
