Blueberry Preserve Thumbprint Cookies

Buttery shortbread-style thumbprint cookies filled with tart-sweet Wild Maine Blueberry Preserve. Perfect for tea time or gift-giving.

Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour (1.5 cups)
  • Butter, softened (1/2 cup)
  • Sugar (1/4 cup)
  • Egg yolk (1)
  • Vanilla extract (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Salt (1/4 teaspoon)
  • Wild Maine Blueberry Preserve (1/2 cup)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  3. Beat in egg yolk and vanilla. Fold in flour and salt.
  4. Scoop into 1-inch balls, place 2 inches apart.
  5. Press an indentation in each center. Fill with 1 tsp Blueberry Preserve.
  6. Bake 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  7. Cool 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks. Dust with powdered sugar.
