Sumatran Coffee Spice Rub Steak

Bold Sumatran coffee creates an earthy spice rub for a gourmet steak.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons ground Putra Gayo Mandheling coffee
- 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 4 ribeye steaks
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Grind coffee and combine with sugar, paprika, garlic, cayenne, salt.
- Pat steaks dry, coat with rub.
- Rest 15 minutes at room temperature.
- Heat cast-iron skillet until smoking.
- Sear 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, finish with butter.
- Rest 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve with favorite sides.
