1/2 Gallon Jar and Foxhound Entrance Feeder with UV Inhibitor

The 1/2 Gallon Jar and Foxhound Entrance Feeder is a redesigned entrance feeder paired with an extra-large, UV-protected plastic jar that holds more than double the syrup of a common entrance feeder. The clear jar lets you monitor syrup levels at a glance, and the step feeder design keeps bees drinking safely without drowning.

At a glance

• Type: Entrance (Boardman style) feeder with jar
• Jar capacity: Half gallon plus (2 quart+), holds about 8.75 cups of syrup or water
• Material: Thick-walled plastic with UV inhibitor additive to resist brittleness and mold
• Lid: Tight-fitting perforated lid that seals by vacuum pressure to prevent leaks
• Step feeder: Inserts into the entrance feeder base and doubles as an internal hive feeder

Best for

• Feeding syrup during colony buildup or dearth
• Beekeepers who want fewer refilling trips
• Monitoring feed without opening the hive
• Use as either an entrance feeder or an internal feeder

How to use

Fill the jar with sugar syrup, seal it with the perforated lid, and invert it onto the feeder base at the hive entrance so bees can drink through the lid holes. To feed internally, place the step feeder inside an empty box.
