In Greek mythology, ambrosia was known as "the food of the gods." This sweet corn can reach a height of 6.5 feet and has ears that are 8 inches long and 2 inches in diameter. Cobs have a checkerboard appearance of white and yellow kernels. Ambrosia is an excellent variety for fresh eating, and a fresh pot of Ambrosia Sweet Corn won’t last long on the table. Once plants emerge, thin plants to 6–10 inches, depending on adequate irrigation. If drip irrigation is used, in-row spacing may be as close as 6″. If water is scarce, the wider in-row spacing will be necessary. Corn should be planted in a square plot with rows spaced 30-36′′ apart for pollination purposes.
