Amish Deer Tongue is an annual leaf lettuce with straight, pointed, medium green leaves that hold well in summer heat. It is a standout choice for baby salad greens production and stays productive when many lettuces would bolt.

  • Heat tolerance: holds well in summer heat
  • Sun: full sun

How to grow

Sow in a block or row and lightly scratch the seed in, since lettuce needs light and damp soil to germinate. Provide full sun and keep the bed evenly moist. Harvest young leaves for tender baby greens.
