How to grow
Sow seeds in flats 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost at a soil temperature of 70 to 85F; germination takes 6 to 12 days. Thin to 2" apart after the first true leaves, then harden off and transplant after the last frost into fertile soil rich in organic matter, pH 5.5 to 7.0. Soak the soil 4 to 6 inches deep at 7-day intervals and stake or cage the vines. Harvest when fruits give slightly under finger pressure.
