Bio-Char Raw

Bio-Char Raw is a high-value biochar soil amendment that introduces a stable carbon matrix to build durable soil carbon, resilient crops, and a thriving soil biome. Designed for high-value operations, nurseries, and more, it improves soil structure, retains nutrients, and helps reduce nitrous oxide emissions, especially in organic systems.

At a glance

• Type: Raw biochar soil amendment (carbon matrix)
• Soil structure: Acts as a bulking agent to break up compaction and improve drainage
• Soil life: Porous structure houses beneficial microbes and boosts nutrient cycling
• Nutrient retention: Holds nutrients in the root zone and reduces leaching
• Lower emissions: Supports reduced nitrous oxide in soil management
• Certification: Organic
• Sizes: Bagged options plus 1-yard and 2-yard totes for larger orders

Best for

• High-value crops, ornamentals, and specialty operations
• Containers, raised beds, and larger grow environments
• Protecting crops from heat and drought stress
• Pairing with compost for a stable, nutrient-rich foundation
• Reducing reliance on synthetic fertilizers

How to use

Mix Bio-Char Raw into your soil or growing medium at the start of a crop cycle, and combine with finished compost to create a stable, nutrient-rich foundation for roots. Its porous carbon matrix supports moisture retention and nutrient holding capacity, helping plants weather short-term stress without resetting soil biology.
