How to grow

Plant in full sun in well-drained soil, including sandy and limestone-based high-pH soils, spacing trees 25 to 30 feet from buildings and other trees. It is self-fertile but yields better with a second variety nearby, tolerates minimum temperatures of 5°C (41°F), and needs about 100 chill hours below 10°C (50°F). Expect fruit 3 to 4 years after planting, harvested September to November.

Flavor profile

Thick, custardy flesh with a warm, fruity, cacao-like flavor often likened to chocolate pudding.
