BroodMinder-T2 Digital Temperature Sensor

The BroodMinder-T2 Digital Temperature Sensor is a low-profile hive monitor that tracks internal temperature to within 1°F. Its hermetically sealed wrapper sits directly on top of brood or honey super frames, capturing the heat the bees generate as it rises through the hive so you can spot changes early.

At a glance

• Type: Digital temperature sensor
• Accuracy: Within 1°F (±1°F)
• Housing: Hermetically sealed wrapper, about 1/4 inch high
• Placement: Rests on top of brood or super frames
• Event detection: Spikes (including swarms) trigger 1-minute high-resolution sampling
• Alerts: Email or text notifications when paired with a BroodMinder hub

Best for

• Beekeepers tracking colony health through temperature
• Detecting swarm events and sudden hive changes
• Hobbyists and researchers logging hive conditions over time
• Building out a BroodMinder monitoring system

How to use

Place the sensor flat on top of the brood or honey super frames and close the hive. It records temperature automatically, and if it detects a spike it switches to 1-minute sampling for a detailed record. Pair it with a BroodMinder hub to receive email or text alerts when an event occurs.
