BroodMinder-TH2 Temperature and Humidity Sensor

The BroodMinder-TH2 Temperature and Humidity Sensor records both internal hive temperature and relative humidity in one compact, low-profile device. It sits on top of brood or super frames and reads temperature to within 1°F, helping beekeepers catch shifts in heat and moisture before small issues become big problems.

At a glance

• Type: Temperature and humidity sensor
• Measures: Internal temperature and relative humidity
• Accuracy: Within 1°F (±1°F) for temperature
• Housing: Low-profile, about 1/4 inch x 1 inch
• Battery: Replaceable CR2032 with about 2-year life
• Event detection: Spikes (including swarms) trigger 1-minute sampling
• Connectivity: Works with the BroodMinder wireless ecosystem

Best for

• Beekeepers monitoring both heat and moisture inside the hive
• Tracking winter cluster and condensation conditions
• Detecting swarm events through temperature spikes
• Expanding a BroodMinder monitoring setup

How to use

Set the sensor on top of the brood or super frames and close the hive. It automatically records temperature and humidity, switching to 1-minute sampling when it detects a spike. Connect it to a BroodMinder hub to receive email or text alerts. The CR2032 battery is user-replaceable and lasts about two years.
