BroodMinder-W5 Hive Weight Scale

The BroodMinder-W5 Hive Weight Scale is a rugged, all-steel hive scale built for long-term outdoor monitoring. A single temperature-compensated load cell measures up to 500 pounds of hive weight at 0.01 lb (5 g) resolution, logging hourly so you can track nectar flows, feeding, and winter stores without opening the hive.

How to use

Place the scale beneath the hive, either under one edge or paired with a second W5 for full-hive weight. It records weight hourly by default, and the data syncs to the Bees app and MyBroodMinder platform where you can view weight trends over time. The AA batteries last more than five years under normal use.
