Butterflay is a semi-savoy spinach that yields large, glossy, dark green leaves. This stabilized open-pollinated variety was crossed between American spinach and Viroflay to combine a round shape with large size, producing extra hardy, nutritious leaves that are great both sauteed and fresh.
