At a glance

• Material: Coconut coir fiber
• Size: 2.25 inch round
• Quantity: Pack of 12
• Permeable: To water, air, and roots
• Transplanting: Plant the whole pot to avoid root disturbance
• Mold-resistant: Better than peat or paper pots

Best for

• Starting seeds and rooting cuttings
• Compact propagation in trays
• Low-shock, plant-the-pot transplanting
• Gardeners avoiding peat and plastic
• Healthy early root development

How to use

Fill the coir pots with your starting mix, sow seeds or set cuttings, and water as usual; the permeable walls keep air moving to the roots and discourage overwatering. When seedlings are ready, plant the entire pot into the garden or a larger container so roots are never disturbed, and the coir breaks down naturally.
