The hooked top edge extends past the wax so it can be secured under the wedge of a deep frame, helping keep the foundation straight and well supported.

How to use

Hook the top edge behind the wedge of a deep wedge top / split bottom frame to hold the sheet in place. For best results in deep frames, cross-wire the wooden frame to add support as bees draw out comb and to prevent sagging in warm weather. For an easier install with a wax-rich surface, consider double-waxed plastic foundation instead.

Cold weather shipping: foundation can freeze and become brittle below 38 degrees F. To have wax held until temperatures rise above 40 degrees F, leave a note at checkout. Shipment in colder conditions is at the buyer's risk, and returns are not accepted for frozen or crumbled foundation.
