How to grow
Start seeds indoors 3-4 weeks before the last frost, or sow directly once soil reaches at least 70°F (ideal 70 to 95°F), 1/2" to 1" deep in rich soil with deep, even water. Germination takes 6-10 days. Thin to 12" to 18" apart and use row covers against frost and insects. Pick fruit at 4 to 7" to keep plants producing.
Flavor profile
Buttery and rich with tender but firm texture. Enjoy fresh, steamed, sauteed, grilled, or harvested young as a baby vegetable.
