Entrance Pollen Trap

The Entrance Pollen Trap mounts to the front of the hive and collects pollen from foraging bees as they return. As workers pass through small openings, pollen pellets are gently knocked from their hind legs into a collection tray below, while an adjustable door lets you turn collection on or off.

How to use

Before installing, close off any other hive entrances so bees must pass through the trap. Mount it at the entrance and close the door to collect pollen or open it to let bees pass freely. Leave the setting consistent for several days so the colony adjusts, and empty the collection tray daily or every other day to keep pollen fresh.
