Blanketflower Seeds (1/4 lb) grow a drought-tolerant perennial wildflower (Gaillardia aristata) native to the American plains, with bicolor blooms in warm reds and yellows banded with orange or crimson. It blooms from summer through fall and makes an excellent cut flower. This 1/4 lb bag covers about 1,000 square feet when broadcast.

How to grow

Broadcast seed in fall or spring at 1/8 inch deep; blanketflower adapts to most soils but prefers dry, sandy ground. Thin plants to 12 inches apart and give light water. This tough perennial returns each year and blooms from mid summer through fall.
