Papaw’s Garden Supply: Helping The Next Generation To Grow With Nature.

The Greek Pepperoncini Hot Pepper is sweeter than the Italian variety. It is similar to the sweet banana because both peppers are slightly sweet and tangy, but the pepperoncini bring a little bit of heat with an SHU range of 800 to 2000.  Also, thinner walls make it better for pickling; traditionally pickled and used as a garnishment for sandwiches and pizza. It is also known as the Stavros Greek pepper. In the United States they are called "pepperoncini", and they are quite distinct from Italian pepperoncini, which are hot Italian chili peppers.
