How to grow
Start seeds indoors 3 to 4 weeks before the last frost, or direct-sow 1" deep once soil reaches 70 F, using mulching plastics and row covers to warm soil for an earlier start. Grow in full sun in loam or sandy soil high in organic matter with even, heavy water and a pH of 6.0 to 7.0. For storage, harvest fully mature pumpkins, leaving 4" to 6" of stem, and cure 1 to 2 weeks in a warm, dry spot.
Flavor profile
Mild and sweet with tender flesh, pleasant roasted, baked, or stuffed.
