How to grow

Plant 1/8 inch deep in fall in California and Arizona, or early spring elsewhere, in full sun on well-drained or clay soil. Seeds germinate in 15 to 75 days. Thin to 1 foot apart once plants reach about 3 inches tall. Mature plants reach 1 to 4 feet with flower clusters on 6-inch spikes, and need only light water.
