How to grow

Choose a sunny, well-drained spot and broadcast the seed over prepared, weed-free soil, then lightly rake to cover. Water gently to settle the seed and keep the soil moist through germination. Once established, the native plants are generally drought tolerant. The milkweed feeds monarch caterpillars while the flowering species provide nectar for adult butterflies and other pollinators.
