Pest Wizard Cucumber Beetle Trap Kit

The Pest Wizard Cucumber Beetle Trap Kit is a complete monitoring and trapping system that pairs yellow sticky traps with pheromone lures to catch striped and spotted cucumber beetles and corn rootworms. It gives organic vegetable growers an easy, chemical-free way to track and reduce beetle pressure on cucurbits, corn, and legumes.

At a glance

• Type: Complete trap kit (traps plus lures)
• Kit contains: 2 large yellow sticky traps, 2 forty-five-day lures, 4 wire hangers, and instructions
• Targets: Striped, Western striped, and spotted cucumber beetles plus Northern, Western, and corn rootworms (Acalymma and Diabrotica spp.)
• Pest size: Adult beetles about 1/3 inch long
• Lure life: About 45 days per lure
• Not for: Banded cucumber beetle (Diabrotica balteata)

Best for

• Protecting smooth-skin cucurbits, melons, corn, grasses, and legumes
• Catching beetles early before eggs and root-feeding larvae build up
• Reducing damage to flowers and tender plant tissue
• Organic and IPM vegetable gardens
• Season-long beetle monitoring

How to use

Hang the lured sticky traps near the crops you want to protect using the included wire hangers, following the enclosed instructions. Replace lures about every 45 days and swap traps when they fill with insects. Because sticky traps can catch other insects and small animals, position and use them with care.
