Pest Wizard Deciduous Fruit Fly Trap Kit

The Pest Wizard Deciduous Fruit Fly Trap Kit is a complete, chemical-free trapping system that pairs double-sided yellow sticky boards with pheromone lures to monitor and reduce deciduous fruit fly populations in home orchards and small farms. Catching adult flies early lets organic growers act before larvae damage fruit and nuts.

At a glance

• Type: Complete trap kit (traps plus lures)
• Kit contains: Two 5" x 9" double-sided yellow sticky boards, two 90-day lures, and four wire hangers
• Targets: Walnut husk fly, cherry fruit fly, blueberry maggot, and apple maggot
• Lure life: About 90 days per lure
• Coverage: 3 to 5 traps per tree, or a minimum of 3 per orchard block
• Timing: Hang early in the season, before adult flies emerge

Best for

• Protecting walnuts, cherries, blueberries, and apples
• Early detection of fruit fly activity in the canopy
• Preventing larval damage that ruins fruit and stains nut shells
• Organic and IPM orchard programs
• Home orchards and small farm plantings

How to use

Hang the lured sticky boards in the upper tree canopy before adult flies emerge, using the included wire hangers. Positioning traps early in the season maximizes effectiveness. Check traps regularly and replace boards and lures as needed through the growing season.
