Serrated Uncapping Knife

The Serrated Uncapping Knife removes wax cappings from honey frames during harvest, with a double-sided serrated blade that cuts cleanly in both directions. The serrations slice through cappings without tearing comb, helping honey flow freely during extraction.

At a glance

• Type: Manual uncapping knife
• Blade: Double-sided serrated, cuts on push and pull
• Cutting angle: Blade dips below the handle for better control
• Design: Balanced for stability during uncapping
• Build: Securely fitted blade for durability and safety
• Use: Uncapping frames before extraction

Best for

• Uncapping honey frames before spinning
• Small-scale and larger honey harvests
• Clean, consistent capping removal
• Beekeepers who prefer a manual knife

How to use

Hold the frame upright and draw the serrated blade down across the surface to slice off the wax cappings, working in either direction. The blade's lower angle helps you stay flat against the comb for cleaner cuts. Uncap both sides, then extract.
