Sivan Melon Seeds (Organic)
Sivan Melon Seeds (Organic)
Sivan is an organic Charentais-type gourmet melon (Cucumis melo), an F1 hybrid that reliably produces 1.5 to 2 lb fruit with netted, ribbed skin and very sweet, deep orange flesh. The modern Charentais melon traces back to western France around 1920 and is prized for refined cantaloupe flavor. Sivan also offers resistance to powdery mildew.

How to grow
Sow seeds 1/2 inch deep in warm soil around 65 to 80°F; germination takes 7 to 12 days. Grow in full sun with room for vines to run, spacing plants 3 to 5 feet apart. Harvest when the netted skin turns golden and the fruit slips easily from the vine with a sweet aroma.
Flavor profile
Intensely sweet and aromatic with smooth, deep orange flesh, richer and more perfumed than a typical cantaloupe. Best enjoyed fresh and fully ripe.
