Smart Pot Compost Sak

The Smart Pot Compost Sak is a 100 gallon composting bin made from porous, breathable geo-textile fabric. The fabric allows complete aeration, which speeds the microbial activity that drives composting and minimizes the odors of anaerobic piles. Its dark color absorbs heat for year-round composting, and it sets up with no tools.

At a glance

• Material: Porous, breathable geo-textile fabric
• Capacity: 100 gallons (12 cu ft)
• Dimensions: 30 inches wide by 38 inches high
• Benefit: Full aeration speeds aerobic decomposition
• Setup: Unfold and start using, no assembly
• Use: Year-round, portable composting

Best for

• Backyard composting of kitchen and yard waste
• Small spaces, balconies, and patios
• Reducing landfill waste
• Making nutrient-rich compost for the garden
• Low-maintenance, odor-conscious composting

How to use

Unfold the sak in a spot that gets some sun and a little rain, then add a balance of green (nitrogen-rich) and brown (carbon-rich) materials. Keep the contents as moist as a wrung-out sponge, and mix or aerate occasionally to speed decomposition. Cover during heavy rain or cold to hold heat and moisture.
