How to grow
Sow 1/4 inch deep in spring in neutral to alkaline, moist soil in partial sun, with germination in 5 to 7 days. Thin plants to 12 inches apart and water moderately. Deadhead spent flowers to prolong the bloom season. Plants bloom their second spring from seed and the edible flowers add color to the garden and the plate.
