Twister Hybrid Self-Blanching Cauliflower is a hybrid with large, heavy heads and excellent wrapping. This variety gets its name from the leaves that twist around the cauliflower head to wrap and protect it. Heads are bright white and tightly packed due to this variety's incredible internal wrapping. This variety is widely adapted and has been shown to perform well from southern California to the northeastern U.S. Twister cauliflower is a great variety for backyard gardeners and small-scale farmers. It has also been shown to perform particularly well in heavier soils. Roast these or put them in the air fryer for a delicious treat!
How to Grow Your Twister Hybrid Self-blanching Cauliflower Seeds:
- Suggested Planting Depth: ¼ inch in cells under lights
- May be started early under lights indoors and gently transplanted outside in approximately 4 weeks
- Suggested Planting Seasons: Spring, Late Summer
- Suggested Final Plant Spacing: 18 inches after thinning
- Suggested Planting Configuration: Single row or wide row block
- Maintain a weed-free seed bed in full sun and with adequate moisture
