Twister Hybrid Cauliflower Seeds

Twister Hybrid Cauliflower Seeds grow a self-blanching hybrid with large, heavy heads and excellent internal wrapping. The variety gets its name from leaves that twist around the head to wrap and protect it, producing bright white, tightly packed heads. Widely adapted, Twister performs from southern California to the northeastern U.S. and does especially well in heavier soils.

How to grow

Sow 1/4 inch deep in cells under lights and transplant outdoors in about 4 weeks. Plant in spring or late summer, spacing plants 18 inches apart after thinning, in single rows or a wide-row block. Keep the bed weed-free in full sun with adequate moisture. The wrapping leaves self-blanch the heads.

Flavor profile

Mild, sweet, and nutty, especially good roasted or air-fried until caramelized.
