How to grow
Sow seeds 1/8 to 1/4 inch deep in cool soil of 50 to 70 degrees, with germination in 7 to 14 days. Grow in full sun to part shade in rich, well-draining soil and thin plants to 8 inches apart. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged, and mulch to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Harvest outer leaves first for repeated cuttings, or cut the whole plant at the base.
Flavor profile
Mild, sweet, and less bitter than many spinaches, with tender, aromatic leaves.
