Nepal Tea Himalayan Sunrise organic black tea

Nepal Tea at Madeline's

Nepal Tea, also known as Nepal Tea Collective, is a New York-based public benefit corporation that has sold orthodox organic Nepali tea since 2016. The teas are sourced directly from smallholder community farms in Nepal and from the Kanchanjangha Tea Estate, cutting out layers of middlemen so more value reaches the growers and the leaf reaches customers fresh from the farm.

The company is led by founder Nishchal Banskota, whose parents started the first certified-organic tea garden in Nepal in 1984. He has grown the network to more than 200 farmers working about 175 acres in the hills of eastern Nepal, and the company's loose-leaf teas and organic blends have earned a string of international awards.

The range covers the full spectrum of Himalayan tea: orthodox black teas like Himalayan Sunrise and Everest Black, green teas, white teas, and a wide line of herbal and chai blends from Kathmandu Cosmos to golden turmeric ginger. Sampler sets and a tea infuser make it easy to explore the lineup.
