Ingredients
- 1 Caramel Apple Pie Tea bag, steeped in 1/3 cup hot water and cooled
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/3 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Steep the tea bag in hot water for 5 minutes, then remove and let cool completely.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then alternate adding flour mixture and sour cream, beginning and ending with flour.
- Stir in the cooled tea infusion until just combined.
- Pour into prepared pan and bake 28-32 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool for 10 minutes in pan, then invert onto a wire rack.
- Once cooled, drizzle with caramel sauce and serve.
