Kimchi Fried Rice

A dynamic fusion dish combining fluffy white rice with tangy, spicy Napa Cabbage Kimchi, topped with a perfectly fried egg.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked white rice, chilled
  • 1 cup Napa Cabbage Kimchi, chopped
  • 3 tbsp kimchi liquid from the jar
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup diced ham or bacon (optional)
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 eggs
  • Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large wok over high heat.
  2. Add garlic and onion, stir-frying for 1-2 minutes.
  3. If using meat, add it now and cook through.
  4. Add mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  5. Add chilled rice and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add kimchi, kimchi liquid, and soy sauce, mixing well for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Transfer fried rice to serving bowls.
  8. Fry eggs to your preference.
  9. Top each bowl with a fried egg, green onions, and sesame seeds.
