How to grow

Sow each herb per its packet, as germination and spacing vary. Most of these herbs favor full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil, and they grow well together under similar conditions. Many, including chamomile and borage, attract bees and beneficial insects. Harvest leaves and flowers regularly to encourage fresh growth, then brew fresh or dry for storage.

Flavor profile

Ranges from citrusy lemon balm and licorice-tinged mint to calming chamomile and warm, savory basil, sage, and thyme.
