Grafting Tape (3/4" x 60 Yard Roll)
Grafting Tape (3/4" x 60 yard roll) is a stretchy, self-adhesive tape used to secure graft unions and bandage tree wounds. Its light cloth backing is breathable and biodegradable, typically decomposing over time to help prevent girdling as the graft heals.
At a glance
- Type: Budding and grafting tape
- Size: 3/4" wide x 60 yards
- Properties: Stretchy, self-adhesive, breathable
- Backing: Light cloth, biodegradable
- Use for: Securing graft unions, bandaging tree wounds
Best for
- Fruit tree propagation
- Rose budding and grafting
- Protecting wound sites from pathogens and weather
- Holding scion to rootstock
- Sustainable, residue-free grafting
How to use
Wrap the stretchy tape firmly around the graft union to hold the scion against the rootstock; it adheres to itself without extra fasteners. The breathable backing allows air and moisture exchange to promote healing. Check about a month after the graft begins growing and manually remove the tape if it has not yet decomposed, to prevent girdling.
