How to grow

Plant 1/8 inch deep in fall in full sun, where it tolerates drought and alkaline soils. Seeds germinate in 15 to 75 days. Thin to 1 foot apart once plants reach about 3 inches tall. Plants reach 2 to 3 feet with 1-foot yellow spikes and need only light water, making them ideal along banks, slopes, and roadsides.
