How to grow
Start seeds indoors 8 weeks before the last frost; direct seeding is not recommended. Plant 1/4 inch deep in deeply worked, well-drained soil rich in organic matter with a pH of 6.0 to 6.8. Grow in full sun and thin to 12 inches apart, staking to keep fruit off the ground and mulching for weed and disease control. Water deeply without overwatering. Harvest the first fruits early to encourage continued production, cutting rather than pulling them from the stems.
Flavor profile
Sweet and mild with no heat, rich and full-flavored when fried or roasted and even sweeter at the fully red stage.
