How to grow
Sow 1/2 inch deep in full sun after the last frost, or start indoors a few weeks earlier and transplant once temperatures warm. Nasturtiums prefer well-drained soil and moderate water. Germination takes 7 to 14 days. Thin or space seedlings about 6 to 12 inches apart; plants grow 12 to 24 inches tall and also do well in containers or trailing on a trellis. Harvest edible blooms and greens in summer and fall.
Flavor profile
Peppery and bright, similar to watercress, with edible flowers and leaves that add both vivid color and a punch of flavor to salads.
