Organic Jiffy 7 Peat Pellets

Organic Jiffy 7 Peat Pellets are biodegradable seed-starting pellets made from compressed sphagnum peat moss held together by a fine biodegradable mesh net. Add water and each compact pellet swells into a round, pre-dibbled growing pot that offers abundant aeration, uniform drainage, and easy root penetration.

At a glance

• Material: Sphagnum peat moss with biodegradable mesh netting
• Expanded size: 1-3/16 inch diameter x 1-7/16 inch height
• Type: Pre-dibbled, plantable seed-starting pellet
• Certification: Organic
• Transplanting: Plant the whole pellet once roots emerge

Best for

• Starting vegetable and flower seeds indoors
• Rooting cuttings
• Reducing transplant shock with a plant-it-all pellet
• No-mess, no-cleanup seed starting
• Gardeners who want quick, consistent germination

How to use

Set the pellets in a tray and add water; they expand within minutes into firm pots. Sow seeds into the pre-formed dibble at the center of each pellet. Once roots push through the netting, transplant the entire pellet into a larger container or the garden without disturbing the root ball. For a fully compostable option, pair with coconut fiber pots and pellets.
