Paper Pots 1.9" Round x 2"H (72/Strip)

Paper Pots 1.9" x 2"H are biodegradable seed-starting pots that come connected in a honeycomb strip of 72 cells, offering an eco-friendly alternative to plastic containers and soil blocks. Fill them with mix, sow your seeds, and transplant the whole pot into the ground, where the paper naturally decomposes with no root disturbance and no waste.

At a glance

• Material: Biodegradable paper, not treated with fungicide
• Cell size: 1.9 inches by 2 inches deep
• Configuration: 72 cells per honeycomb strip
• Tray fit: Use with a 12" x 24" tray (sold separately); will not fit a standard 1020 tray
• Status: Allowed by NOP, not yet certified organic

Best for

• Eco-conscious seed starting without plastic
• Transplant-sensitive crops that dislike root disturbance
• High-volume sowing in honeycomb strips
• Gardeners who want to skip making soil blocks
• Reusable systems paired with trays and clips

How to use

Hold the strip open with the plastic clips (sold separately) inside a 12" x 24" tray, then fill each cell with a quality seed-starting mix and sow. The non-chain design separates easily when seedlings are ready. Transplant the entire paper pot into the garden, where it decomposes and lets roots grow out naturally. Reuse the tray and clips for the next round.
