Pest Wizard Olive Fruit Fly Lure 2-Pack

The Pest Wizard Olive Fruit Fly Lure 2-Pack is a set of two long-life pheromone lures that attract male and female olive fruit flies (Dacus oleae) for monitoring olive orchards. Paired with a yellow sticky trap, the lures give organic growers a chemical-free way to catch this damaging pest, whose larvae destroy olive pulp and cause premature fruit drop.

At a glance

• Type: Pheromone attractant lure, 2-pack
• Target: Olive fruit fly (Dacus oleae), male and female adults
• Lure life: Highly effective 60-day lures
• Use with: Pest Wizard yellow sticky traps (sold separately)
• Damage: Larvae attack olive fruit, causing premature drop and pulp destruction
• Approach: Organic, chemical-free monitoring

Best for

• Monitoring olive orchards for fruit fly activity
• Catching both male and female adults
• Detecting egg-laying flights that begin in early summer
• Orchard IPM programs
• Refreshing an existing olive fruit fly trap kit

How to use

Attach a lure to a yellow sticky trap and hang it in the olive canopy. The yellow cards draw many flies, while the lure narrows attraction to olive fruit fly adults. Replace each lure about every 60 days, or per the life indicated on the package, and swap traps as they fill with insects.
