Progress #9 Pea (Pisum sativum var. sativum) is a heirloom shelling pea and the leading large-pod home garden variety, with vigorous dwarf plants that need no staking. Dark-green plants produce 4 to 5 inch pods holding 6 to 9 large, wrinkled peas, with consistently heavy early yields.
